ENHANCED RIDER SCHEME, FIRST FOR UK FIRST FOR CAMBRIDGESHIRE FIRST FOR RIDESAFE TRAINING…

Simon Hadley of RideSafe Training recently passed the Driving Standards Agency accredited Registered Post Test Trainer Course.

He is the first Instructor to pass the course via an accredited training body within the UK. Although many instructors are currently on the voluntary register, they will require an assessment check from the DSA.

Working with Fast-Trak who has become the first motorcycle school to become accredited to train the trainer and test those motorcycle riders wishing to become Post Test Trainers. Simon spent over 7 days developing and training with the DSA Deputy Chief Driving Examiner, Graham Shaw and Dave Palmer of Fastrak to successfully complete the newly accredited course in Shropshire.

Simon can now offer full licence holders the opportunity to become DSA Enhanced Riders allowing them to receive the Enhanced Riders Insurance Certificate gaining up to 17% off their policies.  All of the leading Insurers have signed up to the scheme.

This new scheme launched by the DSA at the NEC this year is aimed at reducing the number of killed or seriously injured (KSI) motorcyclist.  Most bike accidents are single vehicle accidents (SVA) where the rider has lacked skill and judgement for the particular hazard.

Potential candidates can take the assessment straight away or if the standard is not quite there, take further training with an instructor.  The scheme includes a rider development record so candidates can progress through the syllabus at there own pace.

Visit our Advance Training Web page for more details, in addition more details can be found at the DSA website.
