RIDESAFE TRAINING MISSION
STATEMENT
“To provide the highest quality up to
date training with current and competent instructors, within a safe, legal and
risk managed environment, as laid down by the Driving Standards Agency
Regulations, promoting road safety in conjunction with the Government’s
Motorcycle Strategy. Ensuring we meet our customer requirements and they
receive excellent service, training and value for money.”
Personnel
Simon
Hadley: Director of Training and Chief Instructor.
Simon is educated to A
level standard and joined the Royal Signals (Army) in 1984. He has completed 24 years service attaining
the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1, Regimental Sergeant Major. He was commissioned from the ranks to Captain
Quartermaster in 2006. He was taught to
ride by the Army and in 1997 he was employed in Ceremonial Escort Duties and
Royal Dispatcher to the Royal Household riding Pan European Motorcycles.
In 2005 he completed
Instructor Training and a high speed Advance Riding Course in Germany
including 2 days on the Nurburg Ring with Fast Trak Shrewsbury. He passed CBT Cardington later that year and
the Cardington DAS Assessment early 2006.
Whilst still serving Simon worked for Fast Trak to gain experience in
teaching and running a business, this also included assisting and developing
instructor courses at Fast Trak.
In 2007 he assisted Fast
Trak developing and working with the DSA to accredit Fast Trak as the first ATB
to be approved to deliver Post Test Instructor Trainer. Subsequently he has qualified as the first
RPMT qualified via an Accredited Training Body.
Simon has also completed
the RoSPA exam, achieving a Gold
Pass. He has a passion for 3 cylinder triumphs and
currently rides a Triumph Daytona 900 for teaching and a Triumph Daytona 955i
for his own pleasure.
Ruth
Tune: Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounts.
Ruth is educated to HNC in
Computer Science / Engineering. Currently working in the electronics industry as
an Internal Sales Manager, her career has included servicing of explosive/drug detection
equipment and most recently particulate monitoring equipment within the environment
industry.
She obtained her full
motorcycle licence in 2000 via a direct access route, having had no previous
experience. On passing her test Ruth also took an interest in off road
motorcycling. Having ridden a Honda Hornet, NC30, CRM 250, she currently rides
a Ducati Monster 620cc.
She is responsible for the
RideSafe Training webpage design and implementation, and is also responsible
for the marketing activities of the company.
Ruth is currently
undergoing CBT Instructor Training and plans to attend Cardington this summer.
In addition she is progressing through her Enhanced Rider Scheme Assessments.
RideSafe
Training History.
RideSafe Training was established
in 2007 by the partners Simon Hadley and Ruth Tune. The company currently have a
fleet of 10 bikes. RideSafe Training have access to 4 off road training sites
located in Sawtry; The Local Community college, Sawtry Youth Centre, Sawtry Business
Park and the Junior School. The RideSafe
training room offers a professional and pleasant environment for formal
classroom elements of training. RideSafe Training offers complete training
packages from complete novices to advanced riding techniques.

Policies & Health & Safety.
RideSafe Training is fully
compliant with the insurance requirements for managed risks within this profession.
Both students and RideSafe employees are covered by our Certificate of
Insurance, Professional Indemnity Insurance Certificate, and Certificate of
Public Liability Insurance.
RideSafe Training enforces Health
and Safety policies and regular risk assessments to ensure all aspects of
training are as safe as possible within the working environment. The company
employees hold Red Cross First Aid at Work certificates, as well as Simon’s
extensive military medic training and Health and Safety Management
qualifications.

Training Company Objectives.
The company projection is
to grow its customer base and become a respected training organisation within
the regional area. RideSafe Training will strive to continuously provide the
most up to date level of training ensuring all pupils meet the highest
standards of attitude and road safety.
While Simon has achieved an
exceedingly high level of motorcycle qualifications, he recognises and welcomes
that instructors should always review and aim to improve their skill set as a
continuation of professional development.
As
part of the company progression the next step is for RideSafe to become
